source

If you’re looking for some inspiration for your upcoming 4th of July festivities, then take a look at this beautiful red, white, and blue block party styled by Paper & Cake, and featured on Hostess with the Mostess.

The bandanna print on the pinwheels and printables gives it a classic feel, and the stars and stripes add the patriotic flair needed to help celebrate the occasion.

Be sure to check out the rest of this fabulous party from Paper & Cake, and get all the details over at Hostess with the Mostess.  Enjoy!

Party Obsession: Over the Rainbow Party

I’ve been seeing rainbow parties all over lately, and I think it’s such a great party theme.  Just take a look at this rainbow inspiration board I found on Divine Party Concepts.

You can create such amazing tablescapes with this color palette.  Check out these party tables seen on Bird’s Party, Kara’s Party Ideas, and Buggie and Jellybean.

The decoration possibilities are endless as well, and they’re very easy to make yourself.  Like these yarn balloons and hanging paper mobiles by Juicy Bits, pretty rainbow paper lanterns and rainbow centerpieces from The Savvy Moms Guide, a paper “cheers” banner from I Go You Go, tissue paper filled clear bulbs from Bird’s Party, an amazing hanging banner from O Chickadee, and a rainbow balloon arch from Design Mom.

You can’t have a party without at least a few sweets, and these sweets and treats are perfect. Just look at this table of yumminess and chocolate dipped cookies by Buggie and Jellybean, or these rainbow cupcakes, the ever popular rainbow layer cake by Whisk Kid, or rainbow decorated cookies.

Serve up more rainbow treats like this rainbow candy layout, these colorful pretzels, layered jello, of course skittles need to make an appearance, and rainbow swirl lollipops too.

Kick your party up a notch by offering your guests a rainbow assortment of drinks like these one’s seen on Thoughtfully Simple.

Don’t forget about the food for your guests.  Why not give them a rainbow platter of fruit.

Or even a build your own pizza station would be cool, with the toppings to go along with your theme.  Like red tomatoes, orange pepperoni, yellow pineapple, green peppers, bleu cheese, and purple onions (okay, I know they are actually red onions, but their color is purple).

It wouldn’t be a party without the printables, and you can get them for free from Paper Glitter.

Are you seeing rainbows yet? I sure hope so.  Enjoy!

Party Concept: Day at the Fair

The family and I spent a wonderful day at the San Diego Fair yesterday.  We watched the kids go on a million rides, and my youngest was even tall enough now to go on most of the “big kid” rides – which he LOVED even though he told me “they freaked my lights out”. The kids just couldn’t get enough, and only took a break when it was time to eat.

So in honor of the fabulous time we had yesterday, I put together a pin board on Pinterest with some great Carnival Party ideas.

If you can’t make it to the fair, bring the fair to your own back yard!  Enjoy!

Inspiration: Father’s Day – Super Dad

Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 19th, and it’s the perfect time to let your dad know how SUPER he is.  Piggy Bank Parties has even created this amazing set of Super Dad printables, and you can download them for free.  All they ask in return is that you “like” them on Facebook.

Of course you’re going to need some goodies for dad on his special day, and these cakes, cake pops, cookies, and cupcakes would surely be a hit.

Don’t have time to make anything for dad, but still want to give him a sweet treat?  These free candy bar wrappers from Lauren McKinsey Designs are perfect.  Just wrap them around a candy bar, secure with tape, and you’re done.

If your dad isn’t a sweets lover, then how about this free soda pop tag printable from Whipperberry?  Just attach with ribbon or twine to your dad’s favorite soda pop.

Hopefully you’ve got enough inspiration now to create a super day for the Super Dad in your life.  For more great Father’s Day ideas and printables, be sure to visit some of these great blogs – Tip Junkie, Eighteen25, Living Locurto, How Does She, Shindig Parties To Go, Tatertots and Jello, and Catch My Party.  Enjoy!
